Sometimes we all cross that line of sensibility. The one that’s so black and white that all you see is gray. I’m not going to sit here and say bad things about Ms. Sykes because of her comments, but I will say she clearly crossed the line of civility. What made this an issue is that people decided to laugh and even worse the President played into it and smiled as well. It’s just not what we need happening in our world today. Her comments are the EXACT opposite of what I expect to be hearing from a woman who is African American and gay. On one side of the coin we say that we shouldn’t belittle anyone for having views in the minority, but it’s ok to publicly call for a mans kidney to fail if you don’t agree with his beliefs? It’s hate mongering of the worst kind, and Mr. President, I’m embarrassed that you chose to laugh at these comments rather than realize that they were uncalled for.
